Indonesia is not only a wonderful, exotic country with a lot of interesting tradition. I saw a lot of creative solutions, too. Just like this toilett in a restaurant.

One of the most amazing part of the Indonesian culture is WAYANG to me. These photos I took in the WAYANG Museum in Jakarta. A lot of wonderful puppets mostly from the hindu RAMAYANA story.

I think its a very thoughtful way of transforming historical events, legends and stories into these puppets. Somehow its a psychological way how a nation keeps and tells his stories. A WAYANG show is wonderful event.

WAYANG is not only about RAMAYANA. They creat puppets referring to various events. For example meeting with other cultures can be described and expressed in this puppet shows. Just like these Indian ones:

I loved this restaurant in Jakarta. I am not experienced enough to know if it is Jawanese or Balinese or Summatra style...Indonesians know it exactly maybe someone will help me with comments:).

Without any expertise I just enjoyed the food they served to me and I tried to "feel" them...to taste them instead of "knowing" them. Usually I ordered something from chicken which they call AYAM there. But the most amazing are the very different kind of vegetables and souces and that they serve some food on banana leaves. It makes the whole dish look so natural, and Indonesian food is very healthy. I would live much longer living there thats for sure:)

Airports are usually the same. At times being at different airports you might mix up the places just based on the facilities. Prague airport is similar to Frankfurt or Brusseles or even Kuala Lumpur or Beijing airport.
But Jakarta airport is special. It has not that common marble-look, the main color is brown which makes the entire building looks like wooden one. On the walls are traditional symbols and between the gates you can see nice green gardens with exotic palms.
That airport has a style. A special athmosphere which makes you feel like:..... I arrived to something very new!
