In the rice paddies (sawah's) of Ubud in Bali Indonesia, these small shrines are seen everywhere and are dedicated to Dewi Sri, the Balinese Goddess of Rice.

I took this photo during my visit to Indonesia's National Monument (aka Monas). I was snapping a barrage of shots until the police officer notice that i took picture of him riding his Suzuki Thunder motorcycle. Taken inside Monas complex.

These kids would meet me at the beach everyday and spend their afternoon staring at me. I don't speak Indonesian, and their English was non-existent. Cute kids :)

@ Mozaic, 975-768. Ubud, Bali. Baked in crispy phyllo pastry, pineapple sorbet, sweet basil and 'espelette' chili crumble. The pastry was delicate like origami.

I loved the chilli crumble! Intense sweetness with a hint of spice.

I actually got this shot on a silver jewelry store in Batu Bulan while on a day trip. Aside from this huge Buddha head that they have outside, they also have carved stone Balinese dancers which is everywhere on their shop. Pretty interesting actually.
