W. Bush visits Indonesia 2006

Indonesian police officers wait in nervous anticipation, the enthusiastic crowd of tens of thousands of sign-waving and chanting protesters slowly approaching in the sticky Javanese heat. President Bush was making a stop at the Indonesian presidential palace in November, 2006, for a meeting with the Indonesian President. The rally that was organized to greet (protest) Bush as he arrived was, in all, peaceful, though there was certainly tension in the air.

This was the first line of police that the rally came to as they approached the Palace - the organizers of the rally made sure there was no attempt to force their way past. The goal was not violence, but to get their message across.
