About the monkey: He is the victim of several teenaged boys who parade him around the streets of Jakarta, where he dances, rides a tiny motorcycle and other tricks.
The kids collect the money from this little street show and they I don't think they share their wealth with the star. He seems to be saying, "Hey! I'm not doing this any longer if I don't get my cut!"
Actually, monkeys belong in the jungle... the real jungle with trees, not the cement jungle of Jakarta.

People of Yogyakarta 4
Me (Aimee Monteiro) and my friends (a Filipino photography group called Shuttermates) from Singapore went to Yogyakarta, Indonesia for a photography trip... and the place definitely did not disappoint. Day 2 brought us to Kraton Sultan's Palace, where a parade of sorts greeted us. A lot of people came to watch and it was the perfect opportunity for us to take candid photos of the locals.
