About the monkey: He is the victim of several teenaged boys who parade him around the streets of Jakarta, where he dances, rides a tiny motorcycle and other tricks.

The kids collect the money from this little street show and they I don't think they share their wealth with the star. He seems to be saying, "Hey! I'm not doing this any longer if I don't get my cut!"

Actually, monkeys belong in the jungle... the real jungle with trees, not the cement jungle of Jakarta.

This photo was taken at Taman Fatahilah an old town square at Jakarta. The town square is preserved by the government including old building and ruined in and around the square back from the Dutch colonization era. There are museums and old cafe in this area too. People often come to the square and they can rent antique bikes available there just for ride or for photo shoot.
