It is from Pulau Seribu, where I was snorkelling. One of the locals was trying to point out to me a giant clam growing under the jetty. When I didn't understand what he was pointing at, he jumped in -- clothes and all -- and brought it to the surface to show me!

Manta ray soaring over the cleaning station. This must have been at least 10 feet across.

Taken at Manta Spa.

It was taken in a region of east Indonesia called Raja Ampat. It is near Papua also known as Irian Jaya. The dive site is called "Manta Spa" as it is known for mantas to stop by to get cleaned by other small fish.
